What is Transformational Yoga?

Transformational Yoga is an important approach to physical health, emotional balance and mental and spiritual clarity.  It equips you with the skills needed to live a balanced daily life.

A classic Transformational Yoga class comprises of the following elements: warm up exercises, an invocation, breathing exercises, Sun Salutations, asanas/postures executed with breathing techniques (also known as kapalbhati and bhramari) and meditation (in the form of Yoga Nidra and Savasana) to relax and cool down.

Tansformational yoga incorporates the use of yoga props such as a yoga strap, block and bolster.

Each asana/ posture practised has been aligned with chakra's (energy points) in the body.

The founder and creator of this type of yoga, Swami Vidyanand says, "Transformational Yoga is a means to relax, clean and awaken all seven Chakras through Yogasana, Pranayama and Mantra."
